A New Modern Interface for Data Collection

Posted on August 22, 2014 in News

It’s finally time for a new modern user interface for TEM data collection…

Direct Electron’s innovation continues, as we proudly announce the public release of our new Direct Electron Imaging Manager (DE-IM) software.

DE-IM provides full-featured management of Direct Electron cameras, allowing users to seamlessly take advantage of the full range of features of our cameras (including the integrated survey sensor, Faraday plate, flexible movie-mode acquisition, etc.)

Three separate data collection modes are available, each with its own unique set of parameters. For example, using a DE-series camera, a user may set up Live and Preview to use the integrated survey sensor with a short exposure time and binning, and Capture to use the main DDD sensor with a longer exposure time and automatic saving of the final image and raw frames.

DE-IM also integrates microscope and camera metadata, and provides a full complement of image analysis tools for on-demand results and/or assessment of image quality.

Direct Electron Imaging Manager (DE-IM) was developed in partnership with AppFive (Tempe, AZ).
